Please help me choose compoments for a home server

I want to build build a home server for personal use arond 300 dollars (not including the drives). I'm using nextcloud.

That's not much. Consider going via some marketplace/auction site to buy used parts.

 

If you must have new, consider the following:

 

mainboard: Biostar J1800MH2 Celeron

RAM: 1x 8GB DDR3

case: Aerocool CS-1103

power: be quiet! System Power B9, 300W

 

Should be within your budget.

Mainboard has integrated proc (Intel Celeron) but there's not much choice in socketed boards for that small budget and have a half-decent proc. My regular supplier offers this board for under 70 euro, YMMV!
