[Myth] Are you charging 8 hours before the first use of your phone?

Nah. I really don't. I use it out of the box . I do it after an hour or so.

I know that it does help preserve the longevity of the battery if I do. But I have honestly never done it and probably never will because I usually sell my phones and get another after 6 months. Battery life cycle doesn't matter much to me because of that.

Nope. Usually when I get a new phone, I put it on charge until 100% then rape the battery with constant use

Under 20% and I charge it, or anytime at random..

Don't really give it much thought or preference..

Li-ion batteries work differently - there is no memory effect. Discharge 60% -> charge 100% -> discharge to 40% = one cycle

Edit: About the first charge - the only bad thing is that your battery indicator might be wrong but that will fix itself after first full charge

WIth lithium batteries it really doen't matter. With the old nickel based ones it was a good thing to do
