Hi, I want to install 2 120mm fans in my case. 1 as exhaust and the other as intake. I want VERY quiet fans <25db. I want them to be 4 pin so PWM, I don't mind if the fans have rgb, red led (cause my case has red theme) or nothing. I just want good quiet fans that aren't so expensive. I've looked at the be quiet! silent wings 3 PWM 120mm, but they cost 20€ in Germany and I want to know if there are good quiet fans for less money.

Thank you guys

Arctic p12 pwm:s are great. Also cheap as they dont spend absurd amounts of money on marketing and brand recognition.

Should I use a Noctua NF-S12A as an intake fan in the front and a Noctua NF-F12 as an exhaust fan in the back of the case?

I want to buy the Sharkoon VG4-W or the Sharkoon VG6-W. The VG4-W has 2 fans and the VG6-W 3 fans. If I buy the VG4-W should I put 1 Noctua NF-S12A PWM in the front as intake fan and the 1 Noctua NF-F12 PWM as exhaust fan? Just get a better case. Ridiculous to cheap out on case and fill it with very expensive fans that rarely make the cheap case better than a good case on stock config.

Phanteks p400a rgb is a great case on stock conf and does well on noise-normalized testing.

Both cases appear to be starved for intake airflow on the front, especially the VG6-W which has an acrylic panel completely covering the front fans.  As a result, it doesn't really matter what fans are used for front intake, so I'd just leave in the stock fans in that area.  To get somewhat decent cooling, you'll instead need a high speed fan installed in the back for exhaust since it will be the only one actually doing any work.

What CPU and GPU are you planning to use?  If they're efficient parts that don't get too hot, they'll survive in those cases with a quiet Noctua fan for exhaust.  If they're hotter and more power hungry, you'll need either a faster, louder fan for exhaust, or a case with a more open cooling design.

Yes, sure. That's a good fan setup.

Positive airflow is generally what is recommended, although a more neutral approach with another fan on the top (if possible) is also recommended a lot.

But to be honest, it's hard to go wrong, since the different fan setups will be almost equal in performance (noise, temperatures and dust buildup) compared to each other.

DO NOT use NF-F12 as case fan. It is extremely loud if there is a dust filter in front of it.

It is okay-ish as exhaust fan, but S12A is better.

For intakes, P12 redux is much better than F12 and S12A.

P12 redux is relatively cheap (compared to other Noctua fans) all-round fan. Its successor is A12x25 which is quite expensive, but it is worth its price imo.

@SpacEagle17

I've merged the three threads you had. The reason is that all of them were about same thing, you getting certain case, some fans and how they should be. Please use one thread since you are going over same question with just different configurations. Its easier for people to help you if they know what others have suggested.

The included fans aren't very good if you're looking for something quiet.

The system listed is fairly easy to cool and the loudest component would likely be the stock cooler. A well ventilated case with a single rear exhaust should be plenty for cooling already.

I'd recommend spending more for a case with better ventilation and better build quality.

P300A is great: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/crqBD3/phanteks-eclipse-p300a-mesh-atx-mid-tower-case-ph-ec300atg_bk01

If you want more red accents, MB511 is also great: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/N622FT/cooler-master-masterbox-mb511-atx-mid-tower-case-mcb-b511d-kann-s00

See how it performs with the stock case fan and stock cooler. I'd recommend tweaking fan speeds from there to your liking and deciding on whether or not to add / replace case fans / cooler from there.
