Build me a pc at the cheapest but do not compromise with pathetic stuff.

Hi guys,

Please help me build a PC cheap, case and stuff included, because I am getting confused. My main priorities are having a Ryzen 3700X and GTX 1660S. The main purpose of this build will be some casual gaming and some music production. Also, matx builds are more favourable. Please do suggest alternatives since I do not live in the States and for some reason, some cheaper products tend to be inflated by almost double the price(really like wtf). I live in India, so if you are a fellow Indian, do suggest prices from Amazon only, since I'll be buying from there. If not then, just suggest whatever is generally cheaper. Any changes to my choices that suit my preferences are wholeheartedly welcome.

Thanks and regards,

abhivykt

I'm not going to build a PC for you, but I would be happy to offer suggestions. Do you have a budget I can work with in USD?

Your build looks pretty unbalanced if you're going for a 3700x with a 1660S. Why do you want mATX? If you're going for smaller size, the cases are barely smaller, and you lose out on more expansion slots on the motherboard for basically no reason.

For what specific reasons? From what I've heard, audio work really favors single threaded, and thus the ryzen 5 3600 would deliver a very similar experience while freeing up budget for better graphics.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

For music production, grab more RAM and get a slightly worse CPU. Most DAW's recommend at least 16GB, and are usually happy to have 32GB.

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

Well the build is certainly not balanced, however it does not matter, because the added cores will aid in music production(or so do I think, I don't know I am a noob). On other note, if I'll have to opt for a 6 core Ryzen 5 3600, I want to ask whether an i7 9th gen laptop fares better or worse compared to it in terms of overall everyday performance(in music production and gaming)?

Well, you need to specify your budget and country  if you want others to address this post.

Now, you'll ask why do we need your location. It is because prices and availability of tech varies from place to place.

And to answer your above question, yes the Ryzen 5 3600 is a pretty good all-rounder. It is pretty great for gaming and other day to day tasks.

Why do you like that form factor?

I like the form factor, but there are limited motherboards to choose from in that form factor.

Laptops use lower powered CPUs and desktops are normally a lot more powerful even in lower tiered CPUs.

If you can afford the 3700x get it.  It's a good CPU and should last for several years before needing to replace it.

Unlikely. Laptop processors are throttled as not to produce a ton of heat.
