In need of an audio solution

Etrabon

Hey guys! I upgraded from my 6800k to a 3900x just a few days ago and now my soundcard (ASUS Xonar D2X) isn't working anymore (Error code 52). I read that that the x570 chipset might be a problem or that the windows version is simply too new (last drivers are from 2015). I want to use my motherboard audio output for my speakers and a seperate device for my headphones.

I have the DT770 PRO 80Ohm  and would like to search for something that gives me the option to set an EQ and maybe some other stuff / with low latency cuz of games and so on. Any suggestions for a budget of about 150€?

Low latency or 0 latency? also it may be difficult to find something thats not a physical mixer for that price, I know software that can do it but its outside your price range

Well not sure how much a difference low latency and 0 latency really is. How would software be better than something physical?

In my opinion its not, but its usually more flexible and of course dosent take up any space

I really don't have any concerns about something taking up space. I have some PCIE lanes to spare and room on my desk for that matter.

alright I did a bit of reasearch  and your best option from what i can see will be the yamaha ag03

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00TY8JE60?tag=podcastinsigh-20

it features 2 in 2 out computer interface, very nice software with a 5 band parametric eq and compressor, and a single preamp if you decide to get yourself a mic for gaming. at this price level I dont think there are better options for you

I have a Rode NT-USB as a mic. And wow that thing looks complicated! Thank you so much for the suggestion! How does it connect to my pc?

Edit: and how would that thing be latency wise?

To drive the headphones, yes, but do you want the EQ knobs on the device or something a little more sleek?

I don't really care if its nobs or a software EQ that goes along with a device

I'm just thinking you can get a cheaper and better headphone DAC/amp if using the software eq I linked above. Here's some options:

just to play off this the fiio e10k isnt very great so I would personally avoid that  go for a fiio q1 mk2 or fiio k3 instead, but this is defintely a better route to go is to take your audio externally. I also agree with using equalize APo of an eq sofware.  this type of gear isnt as driver dependand and compatible with most moder devices.  if you want to max out your budget the fiio k5 pro is great for your budget slap equalizer APO on it and you got a well rounded setup and can power most headphones even up to 600 ohm beyerdynamics really well

Had no idea the K5 Pro can power 600ohm beyerdynamics.

At OP, if you use the APO EQ, make sure to increase the volume in that program otherwise it will be lower than before when installing it.

I only put the e10k on the list because the rest seemed overpriced on amazon.de. Could be better prices elsewhere in Europe, I didn't check.
