Hello there,

I have an intel core i7-9700k processor and RTX 2080 Super.

I play 1440x1080 stretched all graphic settings on high (same values even with lowest settings), my game uses at most 50% of the CPU, and i get stuck at 350 fps max, average being 312.

Any advice how to remove that limit, and no my fps are not limited by a console or any command

Is it even possible for CS:GO to use 100% of any modern Core i5 or higher CPU?

An average of 312 fps is a lot more than you're going to need, with current monitors refreshing at a maximum of 240hz. Any particular reason why you want to get your fps higher?

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

50% of the cpu meaning the GPU is the bottleneck, i say pretty much max out.

CS:GO most likely can't even fully utilise 8 cores as it's based on such an old engine, so single-core performance is king.

Regardless of that though, I highly doubt you'd notice any actual improvement from an even higher framerate. Stable 300-350FPS should be plenty for CS.

it is enough, but i just see al these people saying they have 700, or tarik back in the day having 700fps while streaming and im over here with 300

Pre-2015 I used to easily get over 400 with just an i5-4670K, after that they've made some changes to the game that lead to me and many people's framerates to be cut in half basically. Now, depending on the map, I can get 350-500FPS (ex. Mirage) or 150-350FPS (ex. new Cache) with a 9900K.

Also, "all these people" could just be bullshitting?

I wish I had your kind of problems...

Not saying they suck, they're doing probably the best they can with a 15 year old engine.

Going to Source 2 would be nice, but if that results in higher system requirements, or in other words less people being able to run the game, then I don't see Valve doing this for a while. The one upside for the game running on Source is that it can run on pretty much anything, and more players = more $$$.
