You can only overclock your memory in the BIOS.

You need to look for XMP, XAMP or DOCP.

 

If you have a lower-end Intel chipset, it may not have XMP compatibility.

im trying to overclock a older pcs memory so that sounds about right thanks for helping.

Iirc XMP wasn’t a thing until DDR4, although I could be wrong

Perhaps you can set the memory frequency, timing and voltage for your memory manually?

That is really what XMP is doing, reading the profile on the RAM and setting those parameters.

XMP started with DDR3, my own build runs it.

ok since i cant change the speed of my memory in the bios do you know and software that could do it in windows
