I do agree with you, the situation is more than terrible there... I know it is, I don't need to go and see what is posted on LiveLeaks... But for some people it can be an eye opener... If they can bear with the truth...

Hoo-Mans are a lost cause, I know way too much about it...

That is why I'm building a bunker with a beer garden. People I like can join, but doggos first.

I'm a laundry machine. Am I invited?

My dream home!  ?

Like the idea. No to the execution.

No to the old tires. (or even new tires)

Off gassing of the tires can get into the living space.

Eventual failure of the membrane will irrigate and then leach from the tires.

Lose the tires. Use natural materials. There are better ways.

The mini-ridge they're tucked up against should/could channel/drain water moving through the soil down and away behind them, thereby protecting them from pressure from water moving through the soil pushing the wall down or blowing up through their floor with rains. The site for such foundations needs to be carefully accessed.

Old tires can be replaced with other stuff.

It's just a way to reuse something which otherwise will finish at the bottom of the oceans.

It stays my dreamhouse ?

Concept is great. A number of implementations have been done.

More energy efficient is to lose the huge expanse of windows, and replace them with a series of wall, window, wall, window. Effective, more privacy, and still allows sight views from the inside. I'd still go with a special room or two with the full expanse...

"Earth material" builds are difficult in many areas in N.A., due to building codes. A fast way to build the exterior walls, and super strong, is dry-stacked surface-bonded concrete blocks. But 'concrete is bad now', so to minimize it you can dry stack an appropriate brick, but you still need some concrete for the surface bonding. Also need 1/2" nylon strands (replaces the original fibreglass) in the concrete mix; I haven't seen any nature fibres substituted. You can also modify that concrete so it's waterproof/resistant.

That basic house design even works in cold climates. It or an attached/unattached green house can be partially sunk in the ground to buffer temperature changes. There's a retired gentleman who grows oranges in such in winter on the American prairies.

I find this channel provides an interesting cross-section on where somethings are going. Shy on the techical details (as expected). Most include feedback on where/why that build, and what it's like for the people living in it.

Love this one too:

As I've already said and repeated a lot : As a species a lot cause, luckily some individuals redeem us. This man is one of them (who built this one), imo.
