I've been looking at getting the 58x jubilee headphones for my xbox and was wanting to get an amp to boost the power of them as well. I could only find the astro amp, I was wondering if there was something cheaper that would work just as well. If I need to get extra cables as well that's fine.

Why do you need to boost their power if you don't even have them yet to know if they need more power?

I'll be getting the 58x out of country since its far to ship it to where I live. I wont have the xbox with me so I cant listen to them then decide after, I figured i would get them at the same time. Im new to the topic so if its a bad idea just let me know.

I use HD650's on xbox (with headset adapter) without needing an amplifier.

However, I have also used the SMSL SD793-II over optical in the past. If you need a microphone as well, you must use a headset adapter in your controller and connect the mic into the female microphone jack
