How to stop Windows Update installing HD 6350D Drivers

Go to solution Solved by tatsukage13,

I found the problem, i was using the setting to force iGPU and make it use 32MB of memory but that also seemed to conflict with the use PCIE setting.  It booted after I reflashed the BIOS, thanks @Kilrah, @RageTester, and @191x7

I have an AMD A6-3650k APU and an XFX RX 570 4GB.  My pproblem is that since my mootherboard wont boot from the 570 ( I knowthe cpu bottle necks but I cant afford an upgrade yet unless you lovely people will donate your old hardware ;)) I can't set it as the primary device and try to disable the iGPU.  Windows update keeps trying to install a driver for the 6530D and breaking everything forcing me to reinstall radeon software?  Any thoughts on stopping this from happening?  I'm on Windows 10 Home 64

I do have the latest BIOS.  I have VGA into the iGPU and HDMI into the RX 570.  I HAD the latest driver for the APU graphics before but did a clean windows install because this started happening.  I think since the apu is not supported by the radeon software it looks to get a driver to run it but the driver never actually seems to install properly.  I get "Driver failed to start" errors.

Disable windows update in task scheduler, as a service or in another way...

https://superuser.com/questions/837946/disabling-windows-updates-for-windows-10

That'll be a last choice measure as I don't want to stop ALL updates, just this iGPU driver

Download the right driver and try installing it from safe mode

I'll be back after uninstalling all drivers and installing them both in safe mode

somehow safe mode failed me.  It kept saying unsupported resolution on my monitors.  But I used DDU in regular windows then installed the 6530D driver then the 570 driver.  The 6530D now says microsoft display adapter in Device
Manager again so I think that I'll have the 6530D will try to update in Updater again.

That seems like the problem to solve. Should have an option in the BIOS to set the primary graphics adapter to PCIe. Maybe one to disable the internal graphics too.

There is an option for that but it won't post through the RX 570, just infinite black screen.  My motherboard is the Asus FM1A75M

Latest BIOS? Have you disconnected all cables from the iGPU? That can "encourage" the mobo it to enable it/use it as primary.

Yes and Yes.  The motherboard platform is about 9 years old.
