Delete Test Posts?

Eschew

Hey there. I'm wondering if us plebeians could have the option/permission to delete threads we've written in the Test Posts section? I've read "Declined Suggestions (Read Before Posting)" and I understand that old public posts are kept to help other members of the community, but Test Posts are only visible to the author and the staff. In the event that we aren't allowed a delete option, should I just report the thread(s) that I want to have deleted and have the Moderators handle it from there?

Thank ye kindly for giving me your attention to my request. ?

IIRC the control access are per user group and after that its active over the whole forum. So while we can restrict access to subforums (like Classifieds), granting permissions to delete in single subforum isn't a thing.

If you don't want to see your own Test Posts in that section, best way is to report them for removal.

Why do you want to delete a topic in Test Posts?

Ah, habits, I guess? I'm using Test Posts as a drafts section and I make a habit of deleting drafts after I'm done with them. It's a "clean up after you're done with it," kinda thing.

In that case I think you're just going to have to live with it (it's right at the bottom of the list, so you should be able to ignore it anyway), because it's not something that we can implement at a technical level and it's not a good use of moderator time to remove them manually. One options would be to stick with one scratchpad topic, which you edit as necessary so you don't leave multiple topics lying around.
