how old connectors get used

davidthemurrican

so I have an msi B250 PC MATE and it has a 5 pin connection with the code JTBT1 if you search that up you'll find things for thunderbolt add on card connector but on the dell optiplex gx280 there is a push switch that i'm assuming is the cut off if the case is opened https://www.ebay.com/i/282771704425 but its funny because the ports really never die just get reused for different purposes its the same 5 pin connector and everything just different uses and for those who are wondering the optiplex gx280 is from 2000 I dont fully know of the thunderbolt add on card tech for this but thats what its for

PS. you cant use the switch in modern mother boards to add more security I've tried i wished it worked
