So I bought PC Building Simulator

Yogi_DaBear221

So last night I bought PC Building Simulator, and I must say its honestly a fun game. I think it could in a sense be a great tool to help with getting people interested in PC Building. I mean like Linus's video it has somethings that aren't entirely accurate, but it is definitely pretty close. I spent 3 hours playing it last night, and its also a very good game for teaching in a sense how incompatibilities work. Like you can buy tons of parts ahead of the builds, but you can't just willy nilly buy things. (Other than like Ram and Storage, I've stocked up on that a few times in the game.) Its also very accurate I think as to how a real life scenario might go. I also get a kick out of the occasional BS emails you get, like I got one that was an older woman trying to access her emails lol.

I'm certainly not saying its a replacement for real world experience but its a good game to maybe help someone get a feel for it. It's also really cool to have the real brands in it. I hope they can eventually like add more brands to the game IE Rosewill, Powercolor, etc...

Is it bad that I had all these options for crazy things to build, but I just tried to rebuild my current PC? Minus the Rosewill case.

I'd play it a lot more if the graphics were AAA-level

Yeah the Graphics could use a bump, but I mean I feel it fits the Simulator field of graphics pretty alright

The best thing about the game is the constant expansion of parts to build from. I still remember first buying it back on release day and we were limited to Asus, MSI, Fractal etc. and we were severely limited in what we could build.

Nowadays? Just to name a few, a list of things that have happened that I can remember:

  • be quiet! components added
  • Aorus components added
  • Colorful components added
  • Asus ROG monitors added
  • Razer peripherals added
  • NZXT expansion
  • HyperX components added
  • Watercooling components added

Still love playing PC Building Simulator from time to time to see what kind of builds I can come up with, it's an awesome game.

Does anyone know if they're still working on adding stuff to the game?

They constantly are. They just recently added the 3950X and a couple new parts in the newest update. I think they just added the Linus Test Bench™
