I7 4790k GTX 1080 3dMark Results

Your 4790K is aging.  OC it to 4.5GHz+ to give it a bit more oomph.

That said, benchmarks are useless.  Are your games playing satisfactorily?

I notice something strange in games, while i m playing it freezes for a split second and then it continites smoothly , but right now i m playing escape from tarkov and it did that like 4 times in 1 match (40 minutes)

I just took the system from user Jaws, same CPU but above 8K: Higher OC, much faster memory, test taken before Spectre/Meltdown/Fallout/Zombieload were an issue.

Is it cpu problem or is it the game

Somethings throttling, this could be the cpu (due to settings, I assume).

Partially I'll blame the gpu as well, and your memory isn't that fast at all. Settings for prerendering?

But can i overclock memory? My cpu only supports to 1600mhz? I guess prerendering set to ultra 1440p

Your cpu can support higher. Ran 2400 speed with my 4790k but I’ll have to look up the scores with a 1080 on fire strike. Pretty sure I only did the basic with that rig.

I can’t as I got rid of the cpu, cpu couldn’t keep up with the card.  But I have results saved.

My old 4770k with a RTX 2070 scored a little higher. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/9630105

I was wondering if this score is good enough of my system , any opinions? I saw other builds that are way high than me and they only have a newer cpu and ram. But 10k score more than mine?

My old 4770k at 4ghz with a RTX 2070 scored a little higher. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/9630105 Maybe overclock a little?

Run firestrike to compare it to mine as I don’t have any tinespy results for that cpu. Need apples to apples.

What is your cpu temp when gaming, and also CPU frequency

Also what cooler do you have on it

No issues then. Runs like most. Games can differ with cpu speed and ram but normal overall.

No, it's your video card that caused the score to be lower.

Your GTX 1080 scored 7521

My RTX 2070 scored 9544

Not sure the difference in the 1080 vs the 2070 but that's why my total score is 2,000 higher.  Only way to get a higher score it to overclock your GPU and stop all services, antiviruses & etc...  But benchmarks don't mean too much... the top benchmark scores probably are not stable in games anyways.   People just try to get it not to crash while benchmarking...lol

OC the GPU in afterburner, turn up the power limits, turn up the fans... get your high benchmark then crank her back down to practical and stable and be happy.  hehe
