2070 Super low fps in BFV

No worries, didn't think you would have as AMD chips typically don't.

Can you send screenshots of your settings in BFV, both advanced and none advanced graphical.

Of course, here we are!

Ultra everything and dxr on... no wonder...

Try tuning most things to high, raytracing/lighting medium, it will do wonders.

My 2060 non super gets better or equal fps (using high/med) than your video  at 1440p with little to no dips.

And note that in multiplayer bf5 is very CPU demanding on >=32 player maps which can also lower fps quite a bit (a lot compared to single player).

And Changing settings all the way to low has maybe a 10% fps increase.

Ah!

Then its weird; id expect more indeed from 2070 esp at 1080p then

Indeed, just uploading a little video to youtube showing my career performance rather than multiplayer. take a look at the GPU and CPU percentage at the top left :)

As you can see there are still a few stutters visible but FPS is more what i'd expect.

Not sure if I missed it but someone asked if your RAM was indeed dual channel mode.

Is that correct? Also, what media is the game installed on?

Yes the RAM is in dual channel mode 2 & 4 on the MOBO and the game is installed on my secondary SSD

Thats really odd... should be "flying" at low settings...

Wicked... temps seem ok  but usage is relatively low on gpu/cpu at first glance...

Going to low added like 30fps until you started moving 1inch then its back to pretty much it was on higher settings...

Wierd mistery ?

Perhaps my stupid 4.3 GHz overclock on my 2600 killed my chip :D

Any background tasks going on while you play?

Any streaming out or video recording?

Does your gpu run at maximum usage in heaven?

Have you tried resetting to stock speeds? Sometimes unstable OCs can cause weird behavior

Yep my gpu runs at max in furmark and heaven and creates some massive scores for a 2070s, way faster than a standard 2080 in furmark i believe. My cpu runs at stock no and as you can see from the cinebench test it underperforms a bit.864343141_Cinebenchcapture.PNG.59ac82d328f63262016d9f04b6f15ced.PNG1422106939_FurmarkScore.PNG.347b2fcefc93450ad6573bc0a3136f65.PNG

Wow that IS a low cb score....my 1600 at 4ghz pulls around 2900 and looking around the internet a 2600 stock should pull 2800 at stock settings.

What's your VRM temperature?

Perhaps your VRM I overheating?

What frequency and temps are you experiencing during R20? Does it throttle? All-core should be like 3.6-3.7ghz.

If it is low clock speed, but temps are okay, something else is preventing your CPU fr boosting higher.

Check vrm temps and also that windows is on Ryzen balanced or high performance

These are my temps on Cinebench R20, nothing seems abnormal.1692456599_HWinfoTemps.PNG.7b92849a13d4e0e44c5dfdf39972a9da.PNG

Schoolboy error by me :D when removing my overclock a couple of days ago i set the clock speed to 34.00 which i guess means that the cpu is being forced to stay at 34?

Probably explains the low cb score

But I'm not convinced that's enough to kill gaming performance.

But set it to auto and see what happens.

Yep so I'ts on auto now, just achieved a 2682 which is close to the average of 2736 that this particular CPU holds
