I'm looking to get a new keybaord. I currently have a logitec MK70 and it s a bit small for my hand. I find the keys very cramped. I want to move to a mechanical keyboard.

I am not a gammer, I mostly write paper, program, and so CAD work.

Things I know i want are USB pass through, mechanical keys, num pad, and media keys, wrist pad.

I would say macro keys but, i am in linux 90% of the time and I doubt they would work so.....

I also have really never used a mech keyboard. I know that there are cherry MX keys and different types. Red, blue, brown. I am suffering from a bit of information overload on the different types.

Does anyone have any suggestion?

Just now, NaGoldfarb said:

i wasnt making a joke. you can literally custom order pcb from keyboard makers and make it whatever size you want but its gonna cost alot more than just getting a fullsize mechanical keyboard and learning to get more accurate ?‍♂️

i love kbdfans custom keyboards..

but i you can find one, go for a ducky, ducky shine, or ducky ones are excellent keyboards. have a couple.

they have double shot keycaps, cherry switches and really great quality..i know they are a bit more, than maybe a cheap corsair keyboard... but all models are sturdy and great quality, so you do not need to go for the newest ones, the older models are nice..

just figure out if you want to go tenkeyless, and what switch type suits you, i am a cherry mx brown guy, but there are many types of switches, that may suit you better, red/blacks for gaming, blue if you like your switches to really be extremely clicky.

this f.ex. is an extremely old ducky shine 3 that i went back to from my ducky 7 i still have, i love this keyboard.

it does have PBT keys from kbdfans.com
