I am using a basic cherry mx red keyboard and want to upgrade to rgb bling. So I was looking at some budget rgb cherry keyboards and saw the mx speed switch.

I am usually a casual gamer and sometimes need to do small projects on my pc.

How much more different will the speed be as compared to red? I usually type harder like I bottom out a key to type instead of touch and go.

Not too fond of blues because of clickyness.

My Corsair K95 Platinum has MX Speeds. I never used other switches before this, it was my first mechanical board, but it's amazing.

It takes a little getting used to because the keys are pretty light and you don't really need to smash them, but once you just kinda get used to it they're amazing.

It has a stiffer spring and a shorter actuation distance. The actuation force is the same, at 45cN. You may want to consider a keyboard that doesn't use Cherry MX switches. A lot of other brands make switches that are better than the Cherry MX options.

I have the TKL version of the K68, after 3 years of HEAVY use I have had no problems. I'd go with that.
