defect? Thermaltake H200 TG, Front Strip and Power LED not lighting up

Hello,

 

I recently purchased a Thermaltake H200 TG RGB case.

The case itself is great and I really enjoy how silent it is.

It's a fair bit smaller than my previous case which was massive.

But I've got a bit of a problem.

 

The case is supposed to have the RGB Strip in the front light up in rainbow colours.

The Power Button is supposed to glow with a white LED circle.

Neither of these are currently working.

The case is fresh out of the box and everything else works fine.

 

Is there something I'm missing or are both the Power LED and the RGB Strip DoA?

 

The reset button, front panel USB3.0 and power button are functional.

 

Interesting notes:

I'm using an MSI Block for the POWER SW, RESET SW, H.D.D LED and POWER L.E.D cables.

Hello, i have this case also. I just buily my pc and having the same issue. Have you figured out whats wrogn with it and how to fix it.

@SjanaWilgani I would check your pwr led connection to your motherboard. You might have the positive and negative cables switched. After you flip those then I would try hitting the rgb button a few times. Possibly pressing and holding the button for more than 3 seconds. 

 

And I personally never use those power blocks. They have never worked right for me.

I guess I can try plugging in the little connectors without the power block.

I'll keep you updated.

 

Edit: Probably don't feel like doing it anytime soon though.

It's hard to reach in there cause of how small the case is.

So I took out the power block and plugged them in individually.
Still no Power Button LED nor Front Strip RGB.

The Power LED is called FP_PWR/SLP.

I'l try swapping their poles but I don't think it's going to do anything.

Ok so swapping the FP_PWR/SLP ones did turn on the Power LED. Front Strip still not working though.

Ok I must be some sort of idiot.

The Sata Power Connector just has to be plugged in the way you would plug in an HDD or SSD.

Now the Front Panel is also functional.

This cable comes from the front panel

Hey so I'm sorry to revive this old post but since you seem to have this working, what it the purpose of the 4pin male connector that is also seemingly coming from the RGB strip?  I have this case and am waiting for the other parts and was just wondering if you even need to bother about that.

Hey guys! I know it's a bit late, but I actually had the same issue when I first built my PC a year ago!

 

You guys need to connect the cable that runs along the front panel to your PSU via a SATA Male Connector to PSU in order to get the front panel RGB strip to work

 

The power button LED is indeed linked to the front panel connector found on your motherboard as you mentioned so make sure that those are all placed appropriately. You can look up tutorials online. My motherboard came with a g-connector which made things a bit easier.

 

And Listere, I'm pretty sure that four pin male connector your referencing is what actually supplies power to the front panel RGB strip.

 

Just felt the need to comment because as I mentioned in my original post last January, I also thought I had a DoA tower and thought so for about 2-3 months before I decided to play around with it. Honestly just found your post so relatable especially in regards to being too lazy to go back into the case because of how small it is and dealing with all the cable management stuff again lol. I just had to comment since I thought for the longest time that I was the only one who had this issul. Glad you were able to figure it out tho. Such a simple solution, and it took me like 3 months to muster the energy to figure it out
