take the 1st gpu out and see if the second runs on its own. That will test the gpu and that pci lane. Im not 100% as I've not dabbled in sli in years, but maybe see if the link is the correct way around

Well that sucks.

Was planning on getting a Zen CPU soon anyway.

At least it can still be a compute card.

IMO, buying a second GTX 960 was not the best idea.

The smarter option was to sell your first GTX 960, and upgrade.

Then re-use the GPU in your upcoming Zen system.

Or...stick with just the one GTX 960, and grab a new GPU together with your Zen system.

I had some very specific things I wanted to do with it, plus it was super cheap.

Just make sure that you buy the right mobo if you still want to play around with SLI when you upgrade to Ryzen... B350 and B450 *do not* support SLI either, you need X370 / X470 / X570 and the very entry ones also are locked to Crossfire.

Yeah, when I upgrade I will get higher end stuff. I could really use the threads. Would get a TR if I can, but we will see what happens.
