I have an 8+.

I am not a mega power user, but I do use it daily with multiple email accounts and apps running.

I like it because it still has no notch and a fingerprint scanner.

The newer phones are about the same size, have a little more screen real estate and better processors, but I haven't noticed any issues with my phone chugging while running any apps.

I agree with @TheGlenlivet I have a 8 plus as well been doing good, i don't plan on upgrading until apple adopts usb c and 5g.

Apple will go 100% wireless, no ports before they adopt USB-C. But I guess the Apple wireless charger will be powered by USB-C.... So you're kinda not completely wrong?

It will Work Just fine, still good Hardware. And Long Updates.

 

But i would not buy it. It's huge, has the biggest bezels ever, and not a huge Screen.

 

I would prefer an Xr or 11 over it, even If it Costs slightly more, are 1 or even 2 year newer, faster, smaller despite bigger Screen, more modern Look, better cameras, better battery Life, modern gesture controls...
