Will My PSU Be Okay with this upgrade?

Vinnie51

I would call it minimum.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Realistically it'll work on even a quality 450.

So just to confirm 2070 Super is fine for my PC?

Barely, but you should be ok if you don’t overclock anything.

Yep. It's a bit more than enough.

I've ran a i7 8700K overclocked and RX Vega 64 on a CX450M. Parts don't take up that much power.

Work, yes.  For a while.  Things spike though.  It could occasionally be overworked.  Wouldn’t blow up or anything till it gets old.  Maybe not even then.  The 550 means no overworking though.  It’s in spec.  Just not by a whole lot.  Me I would have gone 600-650.  Then there’s overclocking room, and if I had to change cards I could.  It would absorb the worry.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

So my 550 gold Corsair is something to be worried about? Or would I be fine when I'm gaming?

You would be fine.  It won’t be overworked.  There won’t be any increased wear.  It’ll run as long as it would if you had half the GPU you do.  Throw a +200w overclock on something though and leave it there for a year and all bets are off.
