First off, why would you want to? It's already a "desktop"

Unless you are looking on adding things like GFX cards, in which case I highly doubt it

It is a desktop with laptop parts, do you want to get better performance from it?

- Clean dust

- Replace thermal paste

- Under volt( XTU or throttle stop)

Well I want to make a desktop out of a "Desktop" that has laptop parts (basically a laptop modified to fit in a monitor).

Oh, that's completely different.

Can it be done?

Absolutely.

Do you have the skills to do that? Only you can answer that.

I've seen that video.

I'm just asking what mods should I do.

Depends on what you want to do with the converted box.

eGPU if you are going to game.

Probably better cooling for starters...

I have a question, how would I put an IHS( heat spreader) on a laptop cpu, and also a desktop heatsink since my pc's motherboard is out.

But the main reason why I'm doing this is because the screen was broken when I found.

You got me man, I've never done this before, hence why I said it's possible, depending on your skills....

I did, I said I'd not done that sort of thing before so I don't know. I could lie to you if you prefer....

Well for starters, you'd have to see if the CPU is in a socket, or soldered. Then you'd have to look at how the existing heat sink is attached to the mobo. Some are soldered, some are with clips, others with pins. If it's soldered, you are probably SOL, if it's got clips, you might be able to fabricate something that will clip on to the existing mounting points, and jury rig that to the new heat sink/water cooling block.

Your main problem will be the video output, it is unlikely to be any sort of standard connection that just plugs into a monitor, unless the model supports an external monitor.

RAM is likely also to be soldered in, with perhaps one slot for upgrading. Video card is intel integrated, so you will be relying on the CPU for any sort of gaming horsepower. So all in all, you're going to have your work cut out for you.
