I messed up by not checking that the motherboard does not have a front panel Type C Connector.

PuddingKing92

So  I am helping my cousin buy parts for his 1st PC and choose these parts(we got the motherboard at ~$89.99)-

Now we choose the NZXT H510 case because it has a front panel Type C since he needs Type C but I failed to realize that the motherboard does not have a Type C connector on it! And he has already bought the case and motherboard. Since I failed to notice the error I thought I might try to find some solutions.

1. He buys an Type C connector to USB 3.0 so that he can use the front panel Type C but would not be able to use the front USB 3.0

2. I found this mother board[ https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6hF48d/asus-prime-x470-pro-atx-am4-motherboard-prime-x470-pro ] which not only has a Type C connector but also has an extra Type C in the IO BUT it cost $70 more plus taxes

3. Return the case and buy a regular case with just USB 3.0/USB 2.0 and buy an adapter to use Type C

4. Return the motherboard and buy this [ https://pcpartpicker.com/product/PCKcCJ/asrock-b450-pro4-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-pro4 ] which is just $10 more and has a Type C in the IO. And since this motherboard still does not have Type C       connector he could then decide(using solution 1) if he wants 2 Type C OR want the front USB 3.0 to work.

5. My brother is looking to upgrade and all the parts he is looking at are compatable with the mother board my cousin has(MSI B450 A PRO) so he can just buy it off him and all is good. This solution is more of a back up.

My question is: Did I miss motherboard that has a Type C connector that is compatible with his parts and within the original price range? Any other possible solutions? I really need some help here.

What is he using the type 3 for? If your just using it to plug in your phone or controller, then just plug in a USB to type c whenever you need it

He uses it for his photography, I don't know specifically but I'm guessing its what he uses to transfer all the photos to the PC

You can buy an adapter cable that has that header that's  normally on the motherboard on one end, and a regular usb 3.0 plug (that goes into a usb 3.0 header) on the other end.

It will make the usb type c in the front usable, but at 3.0 speeds (5 gbps) instead of 10gbps.

It's also kind of expensive at around 30-40$

I can be cheaper or about same price to actually get a usb 3.1 gen2 10g card with the connector :
