Why is my NVME NOT WORKINGG

hey so I was builded a new pc and boot it up 

It posted but a look in the bios shows that it did not detect any storage device 

I am using (ASRock b365m Phantom Gaming 4) motherboard and it's not detecting my NVme (transcend 220s 512Gb) I need help pls

I updated the bios and still no change nothing is detected I tried installing the nvme in another slot it still doesn't work (the nvme is new) I also tried to install windows 10 and it didn't detect a storage unit to install windows.

PLEASE HELPP

So it hasn't been formatted to accept Windows? How did you try to put Windows on it? USB or CD?

When you try to boot from the USB to install, it should ask if you want to format the drive and create a partition. Is it getting that far?

No it didn't even show any storage device to select

Does the USB with the creation tool show up here? If not, can you select that and choose to boot from the USB stick?

It doesn't let me select

Then go into Advanced Bios->Boot and try to select it.

I don't have that motherboard or CPU, I'm assuming, so I'm just going off what your manual says.

Select the usb? That's the only thing it shows

Yes. Boot from the USB. See if that will want to format and make a partition on your M.2.

 

You also never confirmed that you have the m.2 in your M2_1 slot right now. That's the only one that your motherboard will recognize it in.

If I boot from the usb the windows 10 installation comes out

It looks like you got the wrong m.2 then. It's not listed on the ASRock website as a compatible m.2. They claim support for a M.2 Sata from Transcend, but not a m.2 PCIe.
