Planning a budget build for easy to run games

jboysimz

This would be my first build and I would like something that wouldn’t break the bank just as an entry into the pc community.

The goal for right now is playing CS:GO, Overwatch, Rocket League, Destiny 2.

1080p, 60fps would be the minimum I would like

Ideally, this rig would be easily upgradable in the near future (within a year or two) and I do like the look of full size towers.

I have around $500 US to spend +/-$50 (this budget is for machine only, no peripherals or Windows need be included)

I also have access to a micro center!

While I was browsing I saw this build:

https://www.wepc.com/builds/best-gaming-pc-under-500/

Thoughts?

Repalce that ancient CPU with the cheapest Ryzen 3xxx series and you be ok. Should be same price or cheaper.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

I realize that there's no graphics with this but I was trying to stay under the price point

I just saw this. Get the ryzen 5 1600 for $80 and see what open box b450 motherboards are available in your microcenter. You will have to get a manager to manually enter the $20 combo discount. (Was $30 until yesterday ?)

TX 850 is overkill for this build. The one for $80 in microcenter is a refurb with a 90 day warranty. I would rather get a cheaper psu with a better warranty

oh, I was not aware that the TX850 was under warranty, guess its not such a great deal. OP: EVGA's 500 GD is 60$ iirc, and its a pretty solid unit.
