ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Impact - ECC support?

glebm

This is the only ITX/DTX x570 motherboard I could find with 2x m.2 slots and a USB Type-C Gen2 header.

It doesn't officially support ECC but will ECC memory work with it (including error-correction)?

The ECC sticks I have are 2x MTA18ADF2G72AZ-3G2E1

all you had to do was google up the heading of this topic; the name of your motherboard, and read the info from the manufacturer's webpage...it states 'unbuffered' ram so not likely it will work with ECC ram. Is it registered ECC ram?

* Refer to www.asus.com for the Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists).
* Double Capcity DRAM support depends on the DRAM models

More information; it is really a simple thing to do, as detailed on the Specs page, download he QVL if in doubt. Of course the other option is just insert a pair of the ram and see if the systems beeps, then boots...though likely it will just remain quiet
