Motherboard overclocking capability

Hello, I'm looking into doing a large upgrade on my PC (CPU, Motherboard, Ram) and had the intention of overclocking my CPU.

I was looking into using the Ryzen 7 2700X with the ASRock B450 Pro4 (I already have a Hyper 212 Evo to cool it).

My question was first whether it would be efficient to overclock the 2700X and also if the ASRock B450 Pro4 would support overclocking it and to what extent?

Quick question why are you paring a Ryzen 7 2700X w/ a B450 board?
