weird on amazon it says it 3000mhz and theres a 3600mhz version, but that might be it.

Either way you win.  Simply removing that crucial stuff will make the machine go faster.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Ok, “were successful” then.  Didn’t mean to imply it was a competition.  It was intended as a GJ

Ok after I plugged them in the slots and the speed is still 1333 MHz

Yep!  That’s what it was supposed to be before that dude sold you some lowball memory you didn’t need that made your computer slower.  Your memory was all running at 2400 but now it’s running at 2666.

your computer is now faster.  For $0

so the speed on my task manager is displaying 1333 mhz but it really means 2666 mhz?

Yep.  Remember it’s DDR (double data rate) so you double the number.

they’re are reasons why this is so but it has to do with older computers.  Some apps will read the number as 2666, but some older ones will read 1333.  Has to do with something called up-down memory polling.  You don’t care.  I don’t even care and I know about it.

ok so will this make my pc have a higher fps? if not what should i upgrade to make it have a higher fps?

It will make you have higher FPS.  A little.  You could replace the vengeance with some 3200 cas 16 memory and make it go another little bit faster.  You’d want to not put in the vengeance then.  There’s also cpu overclocking, but it won’t buy you much, you’d need a better cooler, and I’m not sure your mobo could take it.

if you just want to spend money buy 3466 cas 15.  That’ll put you back hundreds.  Won’t be much faster than the 3200 though.

yeah your running at 2666, thats not bad but not desirable for amd proccesors, they like higher speed ram. so i reccomend you dont buy a new cpu until you upgrade your ram to atleast 3000 mhz but 3200mhz, message me if you have any problems

good luck

you should try to overclock your ram. whatever ram you buy, whether it's rated at 2666 or 3600, when you just put it in the motherboard it will default at 2400. you need to enable the xmp profile in bios settings for your ram to run at the advertised speed. I would try that with your current ram and only after consider changing it. also, a ryzen 2700 isn't an upgrade from 2600. 2600 should be more than enough, but if you really want an upgrade, you should go 3700 and up. your motherboard can take it, you just need to update the bios.

Even with that lousy 4+2 VRM?
