Why are you looking at the 3800X?  Productivity or it's just in your price range?

 

That motherboard is ridiculous, don't pay over $200 for one.  

 

Blows my mind they're charging as much for motherboards as CPU's...

Then you'd better spend more for at elast 3600MHz CL16 memory. Otherwise you wont benefit from the slightly better potential on average with the 3800X and the really high price of the X570-E. Tbh all X570 board above $250 are meant for running Ryzen 9 CPUs, which do not really help in gaming.

Rofl, you can use a Pentium D for a lot of apps open.  3800X is for people who video edit, etc.  Not Youtube watching :P
