What happened to the Zenfone 6?

Sargon

I was excited about the Zenfone 6, but it seems it never got released officially? Not sure.

It got released, and is availible to purchase. I believe it just got buried by other devices such as the mi 9t/9t pro, which are far better value and even better in some ways.

Yea, but, I don't really trust Chinese government devices. lol.

I really liked the Zenfone 6, but it never arrived to my country.

If that is case, you might have buy from online stores.

Do you trust google more? IMO, I don't trust either, so custom rom without google services.

I guess I trust Google more than the Chinese government. On the scale of bad to worse.

Google is after all a US company and has some form of regulation.

Of course there is also Librem 5, but I feel a bit uneasy buying a phone from a very small company.

It's been out for ages. It's an OK phone. Honestly I think the OnePlus is a better buy.

I saw the Mi9t in France and dayum! 200€ gets you a lot of stuff. I don’t see why you’d spend more than 200€ on a phone now.

I don't recall, I just remember I liked it.

Part because of the hardware, part software and part price.

My only concern is that the cellular frequencies are not a good fit for my country.

Israel.

I mean, I tried to check it. But there was something not clear about it.
