Yes.

Does this look compatible too?

Image result for seasonic

Hm, nope? Look at the holes, some are square, some have little triangle edges. The CPU ones from above look like

STTS
TSST

to me, while yours look like

STTT
TTSS

My point is you can't assume with just looking at the cables.

Maybe my example's not the best, but we see plenty of cases where the cables from one PSU actually does fit the other PSU and the pinout is different and they end up frying all of their hardware.

True. Both of the ones OP asked for are from the same manufacturer though. I would assume it's safe to swap it they kept the same plugs. But I concede your point, I'll not go by looks in the future.

So when EVGA told me that I can use the cables from a 750 P2 on my 650 P2 but not any other family... is this standard for the industry or were they just being cautious about mixing cables?

Corsair didn't standardize with "Type 3" until RM/AX Platinum/AXi (2013).  Even then, AX Platinum and AXi didn't have a Corsair standardized 24-pin because they didn't want to re-map out the pins on the modular PCB.  In fact, the AX Gold cables are the standard Seasonic cables and the AX Platinum 24-pin is the standard Seasonic pinout.  HXi was the next PSU to use all Type 3 after RM.  After that, sense pins were added to the 24-pin and this became "Type 4".

EVGA has never defined their own pinout.  They alway relied on whatever the ODM had "off the shelf".  Since G2, G3, P2, etc. are all from Superflower, they're all the same pin out.  But when you introduce PSUs made by FSP, Seasonic, Andyson, etc., you have to assume that they're using default pinouts from FSP, Seasonic, Andyson, etc. and therefore, they're not compatible with one another.

@jonnyGURU is there any chance that the Corsair AX760 (mine's Plat) could be compatible with Seasonic X cables, since it's based off that platform, or with any other PSUs cables also based off Seasonic X?  Or would the pinouts, configurations, etc be significantly different?  (Even if you had to use / make an adapter due to different physical plugs/sockets, and/or rearrange and resolder wiring in the cables to match the proper pin config, etc...)

Pretty sure I just said....  ?

AX Platinum uses Type 3 except for the 24-pin which is Seasonic's.

Ahh so they're not compatible.

Was actually editing my previous post to add this when you replied, so...

Also, is there any way to adapt SATA / PATA connectors to plug into the PCIe jacks, if I run out of peripheral jacks to plug them in (for example if I have like 11 PATA & 30 SATA drives to plug in) and I'm not using a video card (or a less power hungry one like a GTX 1060) and underclock/volt my 4790K to 800 MHz, 1 core, no HT, 0.75v?

Or another way to plug more than 20 SATA / PATA devices into the AX760? (Afaik there's 5 peripheral jacks, each chain comes with 4 connectors.) Or would the 5V rail be an issue?

Spoiler

I think someone else a while ago may have said something about using a 5V industrial PSU or something, but idk if those would be ATX compatible.
