Getting over RGB.....

RGB fans are costly and make a mess of wires plus require software to run on your PC slowing it down. Not to mention need hubs to work AIO's have extra wires that use RGB it is just a mess!

I am thinking about going the traditional route on my next PC remember one colored fans and just letting your mother board mange the fans and a case that is not tempered glass.

I can't be the only one?

I love RGB enabled graphics cards and such that default to a single color when you don't use software oh, that way you don't have to put up with any garbage and you just get a single LED light color

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

RGB gets old real quick in my opinion. Its literally just colored lights. I'm more excited about the components that do the heavy lifting.

Love it. Having the option to pick the color of lighting is way better than having to choose a certain fan, and then replacing it if I decide to change the theme of the build.

I also love tempered glass....though I'll admit I don't really display my computer.

It lives on the floor.

Where it fucking belongs.

RGB is only good when you play a game that has long loading times. Then you can watch your PC for a while. Personally i go for some cookies or take a piss. Matter of preference i guess...

It is really pricey and not without problems.

I had a NZXT case for a short time (already returned the POS) the control software was very buggy,  at some point started to use about 1GB of RAM!

LOL

A few days later the front USB simply stopped working...  Gladly happened within the first 2 weeks so I could return it no issues.

It's really nice for building and looks flashy,  but not worth the hassle,  and yes,  it's kinda distracting even if it works as it supposed to.

Currently the only lights in my PC are "mystic light"  which is decent, my MSI 1060 and 2 cheap led fans which soon will be replaced by led less noctua or bequiet.

I do like the look of the GPU in my inwin case with dark glass tho,  looks classy imo (see avatar lol)

I have an RGB light strip in my custom work PC, but I kind of cheated.  It's from one of those USB powered ambient light kits that sticks to the back of a TV, so it has its own control system with a remote.  No software on the PC, and therefore no problems.  Plus, it was cheap! :)

I did have an RGB phase:

But I've gone with less and less over time and now don't have any at all in the rig itself, just on the peripherals I still have:
