Hoping PSU like this get better.

Looks sorta like a fire hazard.

 

Would be cool if they were actually able to beef it up a little to make it more usable in more demanding situations/environments.

If you have a PC capable of cooling 500W worth of components, you should really be able to fit an SFX or Flex ATX PSU without issue.

Yeah... no.

 

They're NOT even 200w or 250w.

 

The biggest one, the 250w model takes 12v from AN EXISTING PSU (a brick) and produces 26w on 3.3v (8A) and 40w on 5v and 5v Stand-By and passes through the rest of ~192w.

So you're basically moving the PSU from inside the case, to the outside of the computer.

 

In comparison, modern ATX power supply produce up to 100-120w on 3.3v + 5v and also regulate 12v properly.
