500 USD gaming pc

Yeah my friend bumped up the price so that we could get everything new so I want feedback and hopefully a parts list that actually meets 500 and doesn’t go over because I did.. this is to get a general idea but the pc will be used  for gaming and maybe light OBS recording and discord as well as YouTube but all at 1080p

Smaller SSD and a RX 570 instead.
I'd get a 1tb HDD or something later down the line, for some larger games ect.

A bit over it's $70 over... Also OP's working with a budget of exactly $500 it can't go over at all. Plus the previously posted builds that are within budget would be equal to this build already. The only thing different is you put an 8GB card and an older CPU in this. Doesn't really make sense.

Here I upgraded the 570 4GB to a 580 8GB; which is a small difference but pretty worth it for 30$.

The 1600 compared to the 2600 here doesn't matter; I'm not putting a 1300X in or something. The power supply is better.

But yeah it is 70$ over

• The 1600 is barely different than the 2600 performance wise. You're sacrificing very little. 
• RX580 8GB is a significant step up from the GTX 1050 2gb. 
• I used 8gb RAM. 1080p gaming will rarely hit that either way, but if he wanted to, he could grab another $45 kit down the line for 4x4GB. 
• That case has zero sex appeal, but it has space for everything he needs, and includes 2 case fans for airflow.
