Best wireless gaming headset?

I hate wires. They annoy me. They're also why my current headset is failing. So, time to go wireless!

Does anyone here use a wireless headset they can attest to being great?

Or have one that they'd fully recommend based on everything they've read?

 

Before the audio lovers chime in, it doesn't have to provide awesome reference level audio...it's just for gaming, and gaming alone

Arctis 7 Wireless, they can be had for under $100 open box, works great.

No idea, lasts me long enough anyways, at least a few days without charging them, couple hours per day

My friend had some kind of Astro headset, he seemed pretty pleased with it. I'll add those to the list.

Avoid astros stick with Sennheiser, steel series, or hyper x maybe the GPRO. Astros are not at all worth it they are very sub par headphones. And most wireless headsets are but the others are really the lesser of a bunch of evils. Best wireless headset I have tried myself are the audeze Mobius . They are pricey and hold up as headphones but have some cooler tech in them.

I haven't had great luck with Hyper X. Sennheiser is definitely in the lead, their design is top notch as well as mic quality, though finding one for a decent price is likely going to be a bit of an issue. The G Pro sadly isn't wireless. Haha, yeah, the Audeze would be top of my list if I wanted to drop that kind of money, but for something I'll only use the odd time I game with friends, it's a bit much.

Yeah, the Arctis is on my list for sure. As long as the mic isn't garb, some sound completely awful.

I'll have to see if Hardware Canucks reviewed it.
