Posted October 17, 2019 My iPhone 7 won't turn on I've tried holding down the power down button and power button and it doesn't work. It was charging overnight and when i woke up just didn't work. I've replaced the battery so it cant be that. I think its the black screen of death. Does anyone know whats wrong/any ways to fix this? IIRC the main issue was the aluminum they used, it's very very soft, bends pretty easily (more so if you remove the screen, the glass does add a good bit of rigidity). Really the issue is that the frame (atleast on the 6s) is just a flat piece of aluminum internally. There is no structure to support it, only by the PCB and display. 1 hour ago, Ben a cava said: do you know where i can do this and how much it would cost? That depends on the shop you go/send it to.
