Retiring StormTrooper/multifacted question(s)

Hello Everyone,

I built a PC in a cooler master storm trooper case in early 2013, it's almost 7 years old now. (CPUz screenshots for specs) I wanted to down grade from a full tower(see link #1) to a mini atx(see link#2) by cooler master. I am just not sure how to pick out a motherboard that runs a fx 8120 on a mini atx size.It seems to do fine in benchmarks. I don't think it's throttling my GPU... Although not really certain. I think once i down grade to a smaller case and convert to SSD the performance will be fine. The only performance problem I have is it takes FOREVER to start up. Ive waited almost 3-4 minutes. (untimed)That being said, i cant but think maybe I should upgrade to the fx9590 since it should be on the same chip-set. The goal(s) is to have it small enough to put in the tvstand next to the Xbox and it be a multi media PC. With faster load times and minimal game lag.

PS - I'm on a budget and I am trying to keep the spending to a minimum.

-Should I upgrade my CPU to a 9590?

-What kind of motherboard should I get?

(#1) - Cooler Master Full Tower

(#2) - Cooler Master Mini ATX

Why not just put it as it is in by the tv stand? This way you could spend all your budget on the ssd..xD...upgrade to a ssd and you'll never wanna go back to hdd...

1. Once you go SSD you will never understand what you did to waste your life for those 2-3 minutes instead of it taking 20 seconds.

2.) Do not upgrade that CPU, the gains are minimal, the potential house fire - real.

3.) Once you update to SSD, all of your loading times will be nil in comparison for gaming.

4.) Your GPU is being slightly throttled, tossing in a 9590 wont fix that either.

5.) FX doesn't respond to faster RAM, Ive tinkered with 1600 - 2133mhz DDR3 kits with mine, no gains.

@Tristerin

I havent really paid attention to the pc hardware / building stuff in a few years. So i'll trust you. Thanks for the information.

@ZephCloud

My wife emphatically said: "No." To that idea, lol. That was my first idea.
