wassup guys

i'm getting a new kingston a400 ssd but there are 2 options:

1. a 120GB model for 27$

2. a 240GB model for 41$

is the extra 120 Gb really worth the 14 bucks?

i'm going to install WIN10, Chrome, steam (steam games on hdd) and discord (MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE cs:go cause its the only game i really play).

thanks for da help homies

Yes it absolutely is, windows expands very quickly. However I wouldn't get an A400. Look at a Team 3D for a cheap but decent option

Sandisk Plus SDSSDA-240G-G26 240GB SSD

is that better?

Go for a 240GB if you can. I can eat up 120GB in a Windows VM without installing any games, launchers, or heavy applications. It just disappears.

The Sandisk SSD Plus is very bad.

BTW personally I would definitely go for 500GB rather than either 120 or 240, unless you're really pinching every penny.

not really i just want to refresh my pc with a new gpu and ssd

i dont really need 500GB of ssd storage because i have 3TB for all of my other stuff

240 just as everyone else has said. Granted, I had the Kingston A400 240 GB ssd and had no complaints. Served me well while I used it. Now its sitting on a shelf since I went all M.2 drives.

My First (Current) Build:

Ryzen 7 2700 (3.90 1.35v OC) | Asus Prime X470 Pro | G.Skill Ripjaws V 16gb 3200 | Inland Professional 512gb M.2 NVME | Samsung 860 Evo Sata M.2 1TB | Corsair H115i Platinum | Corsair ML 140 RGB Fans | Fractal Design Meshify C | EVGA RTX 2070 XC Ultra

Laptop:

HP Spectre X360 13t Gem Cut (i7 8565u, 240gb, 8gb mem)

My Ride:

2015 VW Golf TDI Sportwagen

Eventually an XJ manual...

Yes it is worth the extra money, partly because of the extra storage as well as the performance being higher as the drive fills because 240gb has more flash chips to write/read simaltaneously.
