Nintendo president Satoru Iwata says that the company is trying to make similar next generation console and handheld hardware with a cross compatible operating system. This sounds as close as we can get to a hybrid machine, which many were expecting and hoping Nintendo would create.

I guess those rumors have may have a bit of truth in them after all.

Well Nintendo is making a new building to house both their console and handheld devs.

The two teams were combined into one team last year.
