RX 5700

nsqvk

So i was looking to buy a RX 5700 (reference, sapphire) and wanted to know if a 550w psu (Seasonic Prime Ultra Gold) would be enough, or if i could get away with a 5700XT. My current CPU is Ryzen 5 2600 but i will be upgrading to Ryzen 4600 (?) when its released.

Or should i go for 2060 (non super) or 1660ti?

You are more than fine with a 57000 XT. Your whole system will only use about 300-350W.

But don't get the reference cooler. An aftermarket one will be faster, cooler and MUCH quieter

I would but there aren't any available in my country (Serbia), i can try and wait a while but for the heat i thought about just putting a fan that would blow the air directly to the GPU (Mounted on the side panel).

Waiting is advised. The refer MCE cooler can't be saved by extra fans. It's crappy

As a fact, I know the non-referrence models are available in Serbia. Have you checked the web shops?

There are RX 5700XT models but not the regular 5700 to my knowing. Only non reference model that I found is a ASUS one which is 60k rsd (500e, reference isnt much better at 450e).

It does quite well if you replace the thermal pads with good thermal paste... Don't even have to do the washers.

You could always just turn the stock fan to minimum, and do a ducted fan system with a bunch of pressure-oriented 120mm fans for similar airflow for less noise, but it's usually hard to control and power them.

Dude i feel your pain i'm also from Serbia and iv been waiting since July, i also thought of buying reference but then i decide to wait since i waited this long. I also thought of getting rx 590 8gb for 230€ or 1070 ti for 350€ but still i decided to wait out till December hopefully it comes to Emmi because they got cheapest prices. As of now Gigatron has  partner cards but as you know they have overpriced everything and on our version of ebay (kupujem/prodajem) it's just not worth getting because it's overpriced as well. Main reason why partner cards are overpriced is AMD couldn't supply demand for partner cards, wish they did what nvidia did and just go with 2x  fans instead of blower.

Probably will go for a RTX 2060, it should do just fine for the next 3-4 years for 1080p ultra
