Newegg charging me weird

MoeOriginal6

Bought a 2080ti off of new egg, and it said it comes with 2 free games. The total at checkout was 1901$ with tax and shipping. When i logged onto my bank account, newegg had charged me twice, once for 1901$ and once for 91.98$ (for the games). when I called them to ask about this, the guy couldnt explain it very well but said that I was not infact being charged the extra 91 dollars, but it was going to be discounted later on after I got my invoice...

Anyone who had a similar experience can you explain whats going on because it doesnt make sense to me. just wanna understand what their system is

They remove the charge for the games after they send you the codes and card, it's so people don't buy a card or CPU, get the free games and then cancel the order for the card or CPU.

I really hope you got the 2080ti kingpin for that much, because on amazon.ca all the normal cards cost between 1200-1600, and amazon probably includes tax in the price.

Also did you make sure that you got the card from "Newegg", not "newegg marketplace seller" ?

I only see your reply if you @ me.

amazon doesnt include tax, nothing in canada includes tax except the liquor store

cheapest 2080ti I found in general online was 1400$

cheapest strix one I found was the one I bought for 1699 plus tax (15%) and shipping (paid for the 33$ 2 day) , and some used ones for 1500$ but I dont buy used

Oh okay. I thought canada was like europe, but apparently not.

But did you buy the card directly from Newegg, not through newegg marketplace? If that is the case i wouldn't worry, it is probably what @SpookyCitrus said.

yea, the first time I bought I made the mistake of just buying it without looking at prices and ended up paying 280$ extra to some random seller. This is the second attempt after cancelling that order

Is there a big difference between the OC and the one I got?

I can't answer but I made a search and I found. It's not 2080 Ti but the answer is same :

Don't know if this applies to the 2080TIs

For the RTX 2070 (ignoring them RTX 2070 Supers). The Advanced or "A" in the model sku is basically the middle of the pack. It's slightly faster clocks compare to the card at stock clocks, but slower than the OC model. Those who purchased the OC model seem to have negative experiences with them, while the Advanced Model seems to be the most favorite, with less problems. The Advanced model also uses the higher-binned "A" GPU.
I believe them 2080Ti all uses the higher binned "A" GPU, but I could be wrong about it.

Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3 @ 3.5GHz 6C:12T / CM212 Evo / Asus X99 Deluxe / 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 3000 Trident-Z / Samsung 850 Pro 256GB / Intel 335 240GB / WD Red 2 & 3TB / Antec 850w / RTX 2070 / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy X360 15: Intel Core i5 8250U @ 1.6GHz 4C:8T / 8GB DDR4 / Intel UHD620 + Nvidia GeForce MX150 4GB / Intel 120GB SSD / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy x360 BP series Intel 8th gen

AMD ThreadRipper 2!

5820K & 6800K 3-way SLI mobo support list

yea, at this point I figure if the 2080ti is 700$ more expensive than the 2080 for like 20% more performance, I dont think another 200$ for the OC version is going to do enough good to justify the money being added
