Building a sleeper PC and have a question about the case

Hi!

Recently, I bought a used PC that had a good case (I wouldn’t call it that good or that old). However, when I was inspecting it, I came across these mountings things. Is it safe to just screw in my motherboard in it or do I have to drill it out to install the motherboard stands?

Are those little nipple stand-offs threaded?  See if you can screw a motherboard screw into one.

The screw becomes crooked?  As in those built-in stand-offs are threaded but the wrong pitch?

Those are built in standoffs and will fit a small (rectangular, not the standard square) mATX board.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

So will I have to add stand-offs or is it okay for me to just screw in my motherboard?

Just screw it in. The raised area is a standoff.
