Apostrophe doesn't appear in premiere pro

Hey guys so recently I began using a font called Riffic free in adobe premiere. Before doing so I had previously used it in Photoshop and there was no problems regarding missing characters

However in Premiere Pro CC (2019) the apostrophe simply does not appear, it has been replaced by a square, this is also the case with the double quotation marks

I have tried reinstalling the font but this has proven unsuccessful

If anyone could aid in getting me the apostrophe to appear then that would be greatly appreciated !

have you tried installing an older version of CC to see if the font works fine in that one?  CC is funky and Adobe breaks things periodically and it can take a major update or three before they get around to fixing it.  YES MAJOR UPDATE.

An example of this is Adobe CC 2018 did not handle HD closed captioning positioning correctly and it took a year and a half before Adobe got it fixed so be prepared to hop back to a later version where fonts will work right.
