IMO there isn't enough of a gap between the 2080Ti and the 2080 Super to really make it worth the extra cost.

Some of those parts make no sense.

The R5 3600X isn't worth the extra $68 over the 3600.

The Dark Rock Pro 4 is massive overkill for that cpu. An Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo would be more than enough.

Crap motherboard for the price, with no bios flashback. Why would you not just get an MSI B450 Tomahawk ?

No need for 32GB Ram if he is just gaming.

That SSD makes no sense if going lower end NVMe when the 660p is cheaper.

If you read what I said, it said that's what I'd do...and that's accurate. To me, the X is worth the extra $68, I don't like overclocking and would rather have it automatic.

Right, it is. However it looks good, can be carried on to multiple builds, and provides excellent performance. Well worth the extra money.

I will never recommend an MSI motherboard.

Not true, that depends entirely on user use case. Right now, RAM is extremely affordable, so it's not a huge investment. When I use my PC, I frequently hit 16GB of usage.

The Crucial and 660p trade blows. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. It's $10. The difference isn't huge.

In the general case I think it is if one doesn't wish to manually overclock and if one wants to use the stock cooler.

But this build isn't for you is it ? There is little overclocking room on either cpu that is why you just let it do it's own thing with precision boost. If you were going with the stock cooler then it might make a bit more sense as the 'X' has the better stock cooler.

There are cheaper coolers that look perfectly fine. Also not everyone is fussed about aesthetics anyway.

That is just your opinion. They have the best lineup on B450 by a mile. If you are going with something else then at least make it compatible out of the box. He has the budget for an X570 board if he wants 3xxx compatibility.

I agree that ram is cheap but for gaming you will very rarely need more than 16GB. Easy to add extra if needed anyway. Of course if the op wants 32Gb that is his call.

So you would pay $68 more for the 3600X but not an extra $37 for a better NVMe SSD ? You dismissed the Sabrent Rocket even though it is a better SSD than the P1.

He has a $119 cooler in his spec so no point getting the 'X' version if that is the case. If they were the same price then sure.

Playing at 1080 both builds will be within a few fps of each other. The gap will widen a bit as the resolution increases with the i9-9900K build leading.

As @lee32uk said before, this is about OP, not you. Plus you haven't stated why you wouldn't get it.

To me, if you won't provide any reasonable explanation or evidence as to why the Sabrent Rocket isn't good or why you wouldn't get it, then you are implying baseless claims against it, which is the equivalent of lying.

Yes.

A 550W psu is enough for that build, 650W if you are truly paranoid.

Why an 80+ Titanium psu, one with an older design?

What are you failing to understand here? When I make recommendations, it's what I would do in the current situation to achieve the results the OP is looking for.

It's not like I'm planning a build for myself. It's still a recommendation for him.

I don't really care if you think I'm lying or not. I wouldn't get that SSD, I don't need to say why I would or wouldn't. The OP can make his own decisions, it's simply my recommendation. It doesn't have to match your views.

Personally I think it's a little overkill. You're better off spending a lot less, getting 90% of the performance, and then upgrading later on.

Good choice on the case. They're gorgeous in person.

There's no way you need a 1000w PSU. More isn't better.

You can make it cheaper without losing any performance if you want a 9900K.

I would go with a Gigabyte board over MSI. The Master is a solid option.

Different case for you to consider. Really good airflow with 2 x 200mm front fans. A 360mm can fit in the roof.
