I am so Done

Sumolizer

So i tried everything Literally everything But still the problem persists.

Last month i upgraded my pc from crappier to a bit good

Here are the Specs.

Core 2 Quad Q9650 (Old But Gold)

Msi GTX950 (Its temporarily as i will replace it with a 960)

6 Gb DDR3 ram

Msi G41 motherboard.

The processor is not OC' nor is gpu.

----------------------------------------------

The Problem:

My PC randomly reboot (Not the random restart its like someone plugged it out from outlet and instantly plugged in)

Sometimes I can game 1 Hour or maybe 2 if i am extra lucky,

But sometimes even 2 minutes browsing can cause the problem.

I tried everything But still its happening.

-----------------------------------------------

Things i tried :

+ Changed PSU to Antec HCG 520w

+ Changed Mobo

+Changed GPU

+Changed Power Chords and extensions

+Changed Ram's

+Changed HDD

------------------------------------------------

Still it didnt work.

The only thing that remain to be changed is that CPU.

Any help will be much much Appreciated

Thanks.

You sure it's not the wall outlet?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

After you said that I'm curious if it could be dirty power, this guy has a previous thread where he tried all these solutions.

Did the problem start to occur after you made upgrades? If so, what changes did you make?

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

I mean, at this point it's either super unstable wall power or a dead CPU

The first question is very important, when did the problem start to occur?

But I remember your last thread and it's not overheating, have you looked at the CPU since then? Perhaps some thermal paste got where it wasn't supposed to?

I would recommend reseating the CPU. Wouldn't hurt to also try your old CPU (if you still have it) and see if the problem still occurs

Reseat and look for possibly bent pins? If nothing and it's still occurring I would see about what he said and check your old CPU, That will narrow it down for you.

Will Definately try it out But there are no bent pins. I am also suspecting that its the CPU

Is this a fresh windows install?

So i grabbed my friends' Processor and still there were random restart under load.

Another thing i want to tell you that :

It started happening after much raining (Lot of rain)

So maybe that theres still water flunctuating the voltages?

And then PSU shutting itself down?

This is really odd, possible dirty power have you ever used a multi meter to test the voltage at your wall? You didn't get water inside of the PC did you? Or is it really really damp where you're at?

Its a bit damp.

Also when the restart happened today there was a weird Buzzing noise in the headset

What with the noise?

Just a shot in the dark, but maybe checking windows event logs could have something in it?

I wish you had a Uninterruptible power supply you could try it with, seems like its just losing AC power or it could be the AC voltage dropping to low.

So i tested my Friends PC with my power supply and it worked properly.

I tested everything and now it narrows down to Motherboard and also

The PC only restarts at high load now
