Is my parts compatible with each other?

Go to solution Solved by Energycore,

Welcome to the forums!

Yes your computer is compatible. But it's not going to perform the way you'd expect considering the buck you're spending, unless we do some tweaks to it. Can you shop anywhere in aus?

Take a look at https://au.pcpartpicker.com/

It's a site that allows you to customize your PC builds and choose from a variety of different retailers. If I had $2800 AUS and wanted a full gaming build, I'd include a monitor to enhance my gaming experience. Here's a build:

You can throw in the RGB fans if you like, or change the air cooler to an AIO though it will be slightly louder. You also don't need a sound card, especially not a "gaming" sound card. If you want audiophile sound, it takes committing into multiple pieces of hardware, specifically a DAC and Amp and you'd have to do some research.

Let me know what you think :)

Well...it does depend on what you are doing...If just gaming...and you don't WANT to spend your entire budget...

For strict Price/Perf...

For audio...decent AMP/DAC combos for a decent price(prices are in US so take as an example.)

Syba Sonic $42

Sabaj D3 $110

Topping NX 4 $160

Topping DX PRo $220

here is another

and here are cpu heatsinks...though unless you OC you probably are not gonna see any price/performance from this...

Oh in that case we can drop the monitor from my build and upgrade the GPU.

unless you have 10000 chrome tabs, 16gb is gonna be more than enough. AMD has stepped up quite a lot since bulldozer, the 3700x now isn't much worse than the 9700k and 8700k in games.

....okay....when did you try them?

times change...the $200 r5 3600 plays games with the best of them...though the 9900k OC slightly beats it out.... for a MASSIVE premium.

again...if you care for price/perf For GAMING...you will not spend your entire budget..if you prioritize differently(Streaming/Graphics editing/VMs)..then obviously you can upgrade the Cpu to a 3700x and for a Premium...can go to 2080$uper or Ti

In your market...once you pass about 2k$ you have exponential Diminishing Returns.
