What is the best option ???

So basically i have £100 ($120) and i need a new pair of headphones as my old Logitech G430's are getting a bit old and i would like to know what is the best audio setup i could get for that price.

I was looking at the Audio Technica M50X for just slightly over the budget but i was wondering if a cheaper pair of headphones and an amp would be any better or even a cheap USB sound card as the audio on my PC is fairly old.

M50x are quite nice for their price, it may be worth your time to save for a little bit more or hunt for sales.

What i meant was that i would be willing to stretch to the m50x's and thats my max

Ohh. Well, they're a good choice, I use them myself. You will want to look in to different ear cups, as the included ones do not breathe at all, and another forum member actually got an ear infection because he used them so much.

Well i have a really small head and would not have them on for longer than 2 hours at a time without a break

If you search for "audio Technica earphones" or something along those lines, similar products will show up. There are a lot of these.

If you don’t wanna spend much and get something that’s comparable to an M50x (which isn’t anything special, extremely overrated and overpriced), look for the AKG K72 or K92. It’s a comfy headphone with decent sound for around $50.
