Bind CPU Cores into one.

I have a server with 16 cores that run at 2133 MHz. Is there anyway to make one core that does 2133 MHz * the 16 Cores? So about 34128 MHz.

No, you cannot combine multiple cores to be seen as one core or for one core to be core speed times the number of cores.

 

The closest you can get to that performance is to have a workload that can saturate the CPU evenly.

You'll have to forgive me. Are you saying you want one core to run at 34128MHz and the rest at 0Mhz? If so, no, that's really not possible.

Your server already should do the load balancing.

 

It splits up a task so all 16 cores do a portion, net result is if 1 core did the whole job 16x as fast.  

 

1 guy who is 16 times as fast as you, or 16 versions of you... job gets done the same. 

 

In theory.

 

Cuz what you're asking isn't technically possible if you truly mean how to make 1 core that damn fast.

In vmware esxi it adds up the mhz why does it instead of showing cores and speed?

Are you referring to the "CPU Usage (MHz)" metric? It's not combining cores, it's just saying how many clock cycles out of the total the processor has that's being used.

No, because it doesn't work that way. You can't combine cores to make them act like one.

If cores could be combined to act as a single core AMD would have taken the crown for gaming performance a while ago.

Yes, but the CPU is going to run very hot at that speed. You'll need exotic liquid cooling. I find auto headlight fluid is the cheapest solution. You can find it at auto stores. 

 

The CPU is also going to be feeding from the RAM like crazy, so you'll probably need more. Simply go to google and search for some to download. Make sure it's the correct type for your motherboard.
