Hi all,

I'm thinking about upgrading my 1050ti in the coming months and not sure what to upgrade too my thoughts are:

AMD RX 480 8GB

AMD RX 570 4BG

Nvidia 1650 4GB

The rest of my specs are i5-8600k and 16GB RAM.

Its for 1080p gaming nothing to high demand mostly Overwatch and a few other odd games more than likely the new COD come September.

I do want to start streaming a little bit and I've tried now and my rig doesn't seem to be able to handle it but I need to play with my settings more. So far I'm leaning towards and AMD GPU for a bit of a change.

What are your thought and recommendations? I wanna be spending around £100-£150, and from looking I can get theses cards from eBay or new for that sort of price.

Ow okay then....

None of these aside maybe the RX480 represents any meaningful performance uplift to be worth the hassle, in all honesty you should aim higher if you want to bother upgrading at all.

You can get a Vega 56 used for ~£200, I would consider saving up and upgrading to that, the performance is significantly better than any of those cards.

why no dark mode?

I would strongly consider a RX480 or RX570, no other card gives you more bang for the buck and they are more than capable of playing games at 1080 high

I was watching some vidoes and reading some reviews and it was nearly double the FPS on some cards compared to the 1050ti. Maybe could of just been rest of there set up.

Ow okay then....

Yeah I was thinking the AMD but which would you say? 8GB is probably better right?

Not as much the more VRAM (more is usually better though), it's the 480 vs 570. The 480 is a much faster GPU on its own, even though it's older. The 570 and 580 are just tweaked, slightly OCed versions of the 470 and 480, they're basically interchangable. 580/480 > 570/470. The 480 has the additional plus of having 8GB VRAM in this case.
