Is a case fan necessary in my setup?

Arctic Freezer 33 eSports one -COOLER

ASROCK Z270M Pro4

G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16gb ( F4-3000C15D-16GVGB )- RAM

Yes it's (almost) necessary. Because hot air can't escape and no cool air is being brought in. So that's gonna impact performance. Why not buying fans now?

Why would you buy Kaby Lake?

and you will need case fan, though not buy one since the NR600's 3 stock fans is enough.

I'm confused, does the case come with 3 stock fans or do I need to buy them?

Also is there and bottleneck in my pc setup that I should change?

You have to remove both the motherboard and CPU to get other CPU options, otherwise you'll only get Skylake and Kaby Lake.

I'd say 9600k + Z390 or Ryzen 5 3600 + MSI ATX B450 or B450 mATX Mortar/Mortar Titanium/Gaming Plus/Bazooka Plus and MAX variants, whichever's cheaper.

If you're low on budget, just get 4 120mm Arctic F12. Cheapest fan that doesn't suck. btw I'm wrong with the stock fans, CM only provides two 120mm fans out of 6 the case can hold properly. If you have more budget, you can get a full set (6) of Corsair ML120, be quiet Slient Wings 3 or Noctua NF-A12x25.

ANY fans are better than none, especially with a powerful system such as that. If you don't want to buy rgb fans or anything, the stock fans should be perfectly fine. You should try to somewhat balance intake and outtake fans. Also, why did you choose a 7700? Your money would be much better spent on a Ryzen 5 3600 because you're getting almost the same (if not better in some cases) performance for a WAY lower cost. And AFAIK, Zen 2 supports much faster ram than kaby lake CPUs. If you're an intel person, The i5 9400f is a good choice if you don't need integrated graphics (does anyone these days?).

Case comes with 3 preinstalled fans. You are fine with those. More so as you are going to use tower cooler for CPU. That means that you can be without having exhaust fan. If you have issues with temps, then you can move fan from front or buy another for rear.

I have chosen the MSI B450 Tomahawk max.

Because its a MAX board I might not have to update BIOS and if I do it’s easy via the bios flashback future on this board (via USB)
